Meet Leigh Ann

My life-long art practice and joy in supporting others is what led me to counseling and art therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years experience, and have worked with Clients in many settings, of all ages, and varied backgrounds.

I earned a M.A. in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015, completing clinical internships in adolescent residential treatment, and adult in-patient psychiatric and memory care settings.

My graduate education offered me a critical consciousness that informs my therapy practice. One important aspect of my work is looking at the big picture of systemic injustices and social inequities and how they impact Clients.

The Charleston area has been my home since 2015 with my husband, our daughter, and our 2 Australian Shepherds. Along with anything artsy, I love travel, watching movies with my family, being a pretend florist, a quiet beach day, easy biking, marsh views, yoga, and finding the best gluten free food!

Jungian psychology suggests that personal pain, when integrated, becomes a source of wisdom and transformative healing power.

Through my own trials of adverse experiences and health struggles, I have learned a lot about myself, what I am capable of, and also how to honor my limits and ask for support. I am here to guide you in a similar way through your personal struggles.
